Info about the November 17th Desktop Billing Alpha Update

Updated / Enhanced QuickLists
We've also added several enhancements to how QuickLists work.  Among them are:

• Multi-field QuickList items are now highlighted for you in the QuickList pane so you can tell at a glance which QL items will apply to only the current field, and which will apply across many fields.
• The CTRL-Q auto-complete hot-key has been added to Aurora.
• An "A-Z" sort button has been added so that you can easily sort your QLs alphabetically if you prefer.
• An "Options" menu has been added to allow you to more easily access QL features and settings.
• If you switch QL users, you can now see how many QL items ever user has.
• When re-ordering QL entries you can now drag & drop them up or down in the list, and empty gaps are visually displayed so you can see them. 
• In addition, a new "Trim Gaps" button has been added to this view so that you can quickly remove all empty QL items and re-index the field.

Specific Billing Issues Addressed
Here's a list of the Desktop Billing issues that are fixed in this update:

Billing PowerView

• Adding an invoice to a report via the Billing PowerView would throw an error. (20953)

Billing Data Import Wizard

• If Folder Description is a column in your default Appraisal Desktop column layout, the Billing Import wizard will throw an error. (20546)
• Only the Bill To party was being assigned a contact via the Billing Import Wizard instead of other order parties like Client, Lender, Ship To, Appraiser, and Supervisor. (20947)
• Invalid payment dates would cause an error to pop-up during import instead of skipping the import. (20959)

Order PowerView

• Job Type descriptions are not easily viewable from the drop down list on the Order form. (20827)
• Order form shows Ad Hoc contacts in the contact drop down list. (20820)
• Since invoices are read only in Order PowerView there is no need for the invoice style drop down. (18993)
• When an invoice hasn't been added to the report yet, the option to Delete the invoice needs to be hidden. (19081)
• Changes to the dialog box when creating Ad Hoc contacts. (20822)
• If a report is saved and has contacts associated with it that aren't in the local WinTOTAL database, new ad hoc contacts needs to be created. (20809)

Files PowerView

• Deleting a report with an invoice shows the amount in dashboard and has the invoice in invoices grid. (17519)
• Marking a report as paid in Appraisal Desktop does not update the Total Due and Payment Total columns. (20961)
• Rebuilding reports or folders does not recognize reports with invoices in Desktop Billing. (20896)
• Rebuilding reports or folders could cause order data to be permanently deleted. (20892)

General

• Modified default Invoices view to load in less time when dealing with a large database. (20813)
• Modified the Client Statement of Accounts to run in less time when dealing with a large database. (20981)

Other non-Billing Fixes
Here's a list of the other non-Billing related issues that are fixed:

• A new Options link has been added above QuickLists to give you easy access to several settings. (20909)
• A Trim Gaps button has been added to the Re-Order QuickList Entries screen.  This option will remove any empty items in the QuickList and renumber the entries appropriately. (20908)
• The CTRL+Q keyboard shortcut has been added to Aurora.  This shortcut allows you to type the first part of a QuickList comment and then use CTRL+Q to activate the QuickList populate the field. (7770)
  You can now click and drag QuickList entries in the Re-order QuickList Entries window. (20769)
• The contents of a QuickList comment should display more reliably when hovering over an item in the list. (20656)
• The QuickLists Sidebar header has been updated.  The links have been arranged in a more logical order, and the sorting option is handled by the A-Z icon. (20660)
• Items in your QuickLists can now be removed by selecting them in the list and hitting the delete key on your keyboard. (20653)
• Multi-field QuickList comments are now highlighted in the list. (20659)
• Removing an item from the QuickList no longer removes it from the list of All comments. (6717)
• The message shown when adding QuickList that has the same name as another entry has been updated with options to replace the previous entry, rename the current one, or cancel the entire process. (20649)
• The Re-order QuickList Entries window will now show "<not assigned>" for any items that do not contain an assigned QuickList. (20905)
• Your current position in the list is preserved after deleting a QuickList entry. (1119)
• Changing the Text Database and then selecting to Clear All Text Database Entries will display the wrong username in the confirmation dialog box. (20910)
• Transitioning from addenda split screen to edit forms view can cause a floating quicklist item to appear. (19038)
• Contacts should not show up as a Quick List item. (19142)

 Comps Database

• A scenario has been corrected which could cause the columns shown in the Edit Column Layout list to be different than what is currently shown in the database view.  (20596)
• An issue has been resolved that could cause the Quick Search area to be incorrectly shifted to the right on screen. (20854)
• Answering "No" to the message that asks if you want to place comps into your report will no longer place those properties in your report. (14675)
• Comps that are currently selected are now included in searches that are performed after they are marked. (18906)
• Files exported from the comps database are saved in proper comma-separated-value format. (10810)
• Information can now be searched in the Bathroom Total field. (18773)
• Searching for information in the Acres field should now work correctly. (11723)
• The customize search screen is now collapsed when leaving the Comps Database view to prevent it from showing incorrectly on other views. (19837)
• The information in the Age field is now displayed correctly when a comp is expanded. (14797)
• The Room Total field can now be added back to the search menu if it is removed from the list fields shown.  (19797)
• The street number can now be removed from a comp in the database. (7529)
• When adding a comp manually and selecting photos for that comp, the listed items are now filtered to show only image files. (20652)
• When editing a comp from the database, the photos for that comp can no be updated. (14026)
• The values for the Pool and Age fields will no longer appear to be blank after manually editing a comparable in the database. (20187)

Comps Side-by-side      

• The configuration settings to insert, replace, or append QuickLists in mult-line fields is now used in the Comps Side-by-side view. (19285)
• The navigation option to move to next word when using CTRL + the arrow keys now works on the side-by-side view. (19409)
• A problem has been resolved which could cause the equal key to stop working after using it multiple times copy information between comps. (19382)
• A problems has been fixed that could cause incorrect check marks to be shown when using the Show desired comps list. (19854)
• An issue has been fixed that caused recent responses for certain subject fields to populate random comparable fields. (18763)
• An issue which could cause incorrect adjustment information to be copied when using the equal key has been corrected. (19551)
• Individual adjustment tables can now be saved separately from auto adjustments. (10827)
• The default CTRL+ arrow key navigation matches the Forms PowerView and longer wraps from line to line. (19454)
• The Tab key can now be used to select a Recent Response entry from the drop-down list. (20644)
• Using the =0 shortcut in a comp now blanks out the adjustment field just like the Forms PowerView. (14616)
• You can select QuickLists when the QuickLists are shown in the drop-down lists in each field. (19374)

Forms PowerView

• Changes made to images using the Image Optimizer on the Forms PowerView are now shown immediately on the form. (9340)
• Using the Area Estimator on an additional comparable page no longer places the site area information in Comp 1. (20453)
• Help screen can cut off user name. (19507)

• Clicking and dragging a report to a new folder does not update the order form tab in Appraisal Desktop. (20787)
• When resizing the Appraisal Desktop, the "Get Updates" button slides under the PowerView icons. (20796)
• Opening a report from the right-click context menu in Appraisal Desktop does not open report. (20937)
• An automation error occurs when renaming a file from an attached directory. (20840)
• When an attached directory is selected, menu items in Appraisal Desktop that do not apply are now disabled. (20851)
• When cancelling an override file request an error is displayed. (19293)

• An issue has been resolved that could cause custom HoverLinks to not work for users on networked workstations. (20358)

• A problem has been fixed that could cause the Database view to not display correctly after all of the unused images were deleted. (20673)
• An error that could be seen when going to the Unused images view when there are no photos to display in that view has been corrected. (20650)
• Saving an album with no images no longer prevents that album name from ever being used again. (20181)
