WinTOTAL Aurora - March 3, 2006 Update
This
update contains many bug fixes and improvements to WinTOTAL’s forms engine, the
comps side-by-side view, and a greatly improved WinTOTAL PDF driver. Please
take a few minutes to read today's update release notes.
Forms Engine
-
We’ve released an update to WinTOTAL's core forms engine which improves the
overall stability of WinTOTAL in multiple scenarios.
-
We’ve also fixed an issue where overflowing to the text addendum and then
jumping back to the forms could cause the form data to blank out. If it
wasn’t noticed immediately, the saved report would then be missing the
cleared-out data. This appears to be the primary “data loss” scenario for
those users who moved between the addenda and forms in particular ways.
-
When filling out your forms, if you highlight text, open the Font dialog and
decide to click Cancel, the text remains highlighted and isn’t deleted from
the field.
-
Now in the Improvements section of the new URAR, the Effective Age (Yrs) field
isn’t skipped when tabbing through the form.
-
One of the new features in Aurora is being able to set up both a signature and
seal to use when signing reports. Some customers had reported that when
printing them together they appeared fine on screen, but actually printed
about an inch too low on paper. This update fixes it for those users who
encountered that behavior.
-
Field locking has been improved to properly “stick” when changed under certain
circumstances.
Comps side-by-side view
- In
certain cases, the side-by-side view would crash with an automation error.
This has been corrected.
-
The side-by-side view works better now as you move from field-to-field and use
shortcut keys to enter data and adjustments.
-
Removing a comp from the side-by-side view now moves the proper comp’s data
into the Digital Workfile’s records.
-
This update also addresses an issue where repeatedly tabbing between fields
and pasting text into them could cause WinTOTAL to crash.
Updated PDF Printer
-
PDFs are created much more quickly now.
-
The prior PDF driver could crash or lose photos when the images were very
large in size. This is now corrected.
