WinTOTAL Aurora (version 5) – June 29, 2006 Update
This update contains improvements throughout WinTOTAL, including the new net.X Connect feature.
net.X Connect
This new feature will allow you to see and control all the Internet services used in Aurora in one place. We took our net.X backbone, which streams data to and from our various programs (whether it’s an XSite, the Vault, orders from management companies or lenders, or your street maps and flood data), and added a “Connect” feature to give you better control over how the XSite-specific data is being synced over the net.X backbone. You’ll be able to select and specify which net.X services run, and more importantly, when you want to run them. The net.X Connect screen will allow you to:
- Download new orders from your XSite. You won’t have to wonder when orders will sync down from your XSite. Now you’re in control.
- Upload new and updated orders to your XSite. No more guessing what orders are being synced or when they will sync. Now you’ll be able to select which specific orders from a list are sent to your XSite.
- If an order has changed on both the XSite and WinTOTAL, you’ll get to choose which revision to use.
- Send status and update notifications for your XSite Network orders, in a batch or individually.
- Send reports to the Vault.
- While net.X Connect is running, you can minimize the window and continue working normally.
New Order Form
- The new order form has the “Automatically add/update” checkbox in the contact pop-up removed. This checkbox was the primary cause of many of the duplicate contacts created in WinTOTAL.
- The Appraiser Hours and Miles now populate in the Appraisal Desktop based on the order data. Later, when we release desktop billing for Aurora, you will be able to run a report based on this information.
Files PowerView
- Printing a report from the Files PowerView no longer displays an error upon completion.
- Reports that are moved in the Files PowerView, prior to being sent to the Vault, are now tracked properly and do get sent to the Vault. Previously, you could receive an error stating that the report had been moved or deleted.
- The FHA Case No. can now be viewed in the Files PowerView when that column is added.
- Delayed appraisal reports will no longer be displayed in the In Progress folder.
- When printing from the Files PowerView, the default is now your Main/Photo Printers instead of PDF.
Images PowerView
Optimize and Save As are now available when right-clicking on an image before it expands.

Forms Engine

- The pages marked to be printed will now be saved for the next time you go to print.
Configuration Utility
The Configuration Utility has been updated to include net.X Connect options. These options include the ability to choose a preferred sync direction, as well as an option to run net.X Connect at program close.
Report Delivery Wizard
- When checking the option to include a copy of the PDF in the Digital Workfile, that same option is now disabled in the print dialog. Previously, allowing both options to be checked could result in WinTOTAL’s temporary location for the open report on your computer to be deleted.
- The “Save PDF to Workfile” option now correctly places a copy of the PDF in the Digital Workfile.
- Delivering a report multiple times will no longer cause the Delivery Wizard to become unresponsive.
- Improved logic in save routines when sending files through the Delivery Wizard.
XSite Delivery Plugin
- When delivering a report via the XSite Delivery Wizard, the 'View PDF' button now works correctly.
- The E&O review button in the XSite Delivery Wizard now works correctly.
Comps PowerView
- After changing a property's square footage on the forms PowerView, it will now update in the Comps PowerView without requiring a save prior to going to the Comps PowerView.
- When importing Comps in the Comps Database via the File Cabinet option, folders with only one report will now import properly.
Order PowerView
Comps will no longer appear on the order map when editing it after comps have already been placed on your location map.
