Here's how it will help you cut turn times:
- Fill out an entire 1004 from the field by simply tapping on the screen, or use Android's "talk-to-type" feature to fill out the report using your voice
- Quickly and easily draw your entire sketch by just tapping in measurements and swiping to create lines and angles
- Choose UAD forms to have UAD-compliant data at your fingertips, no reformatting at the office
- Create QuickLists within TOTAL for Android or sync them over from WinTOTAL or TOTAL 2011
- Sync files started in WinTOTAL or TOTAL 2011 right to your Android phone or tablet, or begin a new report on site
- Add photos of the subject and comps, or anything you need to document, using your Android device's built-in camera
- Take audio or text notes that save into your Digital Workfile
- Back at the office, all of your data, photos, maps, and sketches flow right into your reports

We're knee deep in the development of the TOTAL for Android project. However, being that the Android OS is written in Java, we essentially had to start from scratch in writing this versionn, which takes time. The data gathering aspect of the app is what is available now and the sketcher will be out soon.
Project difficulty: Moderate/Difficult
The first release of TOTAL for Android focuses on data gathering. Our experience developing data gatherers for multiple platforms makes this phase moderately difficult. The second phase – sketching – requires a 100% re-write of our sketcher for the Android operating system. It’s a difficult, time-intensive project. But one that’s well worth the effort.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Are you going to make versions of TOTAL for Blackberry or Windows Phone 7?
We haven't decided on other platform versions yet. Provided it makes commercial sense, we'll certainly look to add additional versions as market demand and adoption dictates.
2. Which Android phones will you be developing for?
Android is an operating system used by various phones with various screen sizes and shapes. We want to make sure what we build is as universally viable as possible, and that requires a good deal of research in order to make good decisions. So again, check back here for more information from time to time. And, as always, we'll send out announcements as we reach milestones on the project's progress.
