What do we do to fight SPAM for you?
92% of all inbound messages routed to our servers and your inbox are blocked by our anti-SPAM technology.  Consider that for a second...  Out of the thousands of e-mails directed to our servers each and every day, only 8% of those actually make it through our filters.  Those are the messages you want and need.  And those are the messages we ensure reach your inbox. 

Case in point:  On a typical day, approximately 1.4 million e-mails hit our inbound gateways.  That's a lot of e-mail!  Yet, out of that tremendous number of messages aimed for our customers' inboxes, our systems catch and deliver only about 114,000 of them.  Even if 5% of those 114,000 messages we deliver are still spam, our anti-SPAM technology is making the correct decision, separating spam from legitimate mail, 99.6% of the time.  That is remarkable.

In addition, our spam filters aren’t the regular off-the-shelf solutions.  It’s a very expensive upper-level service that is updated hourly to ensure we’re fighting spam as fast as the spammers can invent new ways to send it to you.  It’s a constant battle.  As anti-spam measures improve, spammers figure out new plans of attack.  Anti-spam technology improves to stop it, and around we go again. 

How do they get your e-mail address?
Some make use of automated, autonomous software called “bots” to scan web pages for e-mail addresses.  Since your e-mail address is important to your business, you want to provide it to the public on your XSite and elsewhere.  Unfortunately, it’s also available to spammers.  Private e-mail addresses (those used by regular people for private correspondence) don’t receive nearly as much spam because they aren’t published on the Internet in conspicuous places.  But let’s not throw the baby out with the bath water.  We’ll continue to fight spam, but the benefits of your accessibility to your clients and prospects easily overwhelms the inconveniences you experience as a result of spam.

We’ll continue to vigilantly stop spam in its tracks.  The results speak for themselves, but we can’t simply rest on our laurels and pat ourselves on the back for a job well done. There is constant work to be done, and we'll keep fighting the good fight.
