Re:        Aurora: November 1st update is ready

The update scheduled for today is now available on our servers. To download it, simply click the “Get Updates” button on the toolbar in your Appraisal Desktop.

You can see the complete list of improvements in this update at the end of this message. They can also be seen, along with other important information, on the Aurora status website at http://www.alamode.com/aurorastatus.

Also, over the last several updates we’ve been releasing improvements to the tab sequences and movement through forms, and entering data from QuickLists and Recent Response comments. We’ll post an Alpha release on the Aurora Status website next week of our upcoming November 16th update which has many more improvements to these areas. If you’d like, download it, try it out, and send us your feedback. I think you’ll be very pleased.

WinTOTAL Aurora (v5) – November 1, 2006 Update
This update contains additional framework for the new Vendor Integration Platform and improvements to several other areas of WinTOTAL.

Vendor Integration Platform (VIP)

Any sketching vendor is now able to integrate with WinTOTAL via VIP.
WinTOTAL Configuration Options can now dynamically display VIP vendors and make their services available as they integrate via the VIP open API (Application Programming Interface).
Supporting files for the WinTOTAL Marketplace are included in this update in preparation for its release in the next update.

QuickPix

When going through the Photo Wizard, the Tab key can now be used to navigate to all options.
Placing an apostrophe in a filename no longer causes an "incorrect syntax" error.
The setting to retain image quality has been added back into QuickPix.
The number is now correctly appended to the end of the filename when using the option to save photos with filenames the same as addresses.
When starting the Photo Wizard, the introduction screen no longer flashes if the option is enabled to hide that screen.

Sketch Integration:

Sketches can again be edited when the file number and report description have bold or italic formatting.

WinTOTAL Configuration Utility

When changing your InterFlood settings, you’re now asked to use your a la mode login instead of customer number.
An issue has been fixed that could cause the WinTOTAL Configuration Utility to lock up when configuring the geocoding for the Comps Database.
When configuring automatic updates, the configuration utility will no longer lock up when opened with WinTOTAL closed.

WinTOTAL Conversion Wizard

The text in the software selection drop-down list no longer can be edited.
A warning message has been added to advise that folders containing over 32,000 files should be separated into multiple folders before converting reports.
Any reports that do not contain forms or data are now skipped during the conversion process.
The net and gross adjustment percentages are now converted properly from ClickForms reports.
