Today’s WinTOTAL Aurora update is now available on our servers. To download it, click the “Get Updates” button on the toolbar in your Appraisal Desktop. 

This update corrects some stability and contact synchronization issues that were reported over the last month.  Specifically, this update takes care of problems you could've had while synchronizing your WinTOTAL contacts with your XSite.  Also, we fixed one of the two scenarios that caused some of you to get the message, "WinTOTAL could not insert the report into the database" when trying to change PowerViews while WinTOTAL was doing an auto-save.  We're still addressing the second (less common) scenario, and will have an update correcting it soon.

Also in the next update we’re tentatively looking to release Bird’s Eye imagery to compliment the new Virtual Earth aerial and street maps.  As I’d mentioned in my last update e-mail, these are oblique images taken at a 45 degree angle and can be rotated 360 degrees around the property.  They're very cool and I'm sure your clients will like them.  And of course you'll get them free, just like the Virtual Earth maps, as part of your membership. 

Last, for those of you planning to attend our Regional Convention in Las Vegas on April 12-14, there are only a handful of seats left.  If you haven’t signed up but were planning to attend, don't put it off.  Also, our Regional Convention in Atlanta is May 2-4, and in Chicago June 6-8.  The Atlanta event is just a month out, so if you haven’t signed up but were planning to, I’d jump on that as well.  For more information on all the Regional Conventions and other training, click here.

WinTOTAL Aurora (v5) – March 26, 2008 Update
This update provides additional support for WinTOTAL and DaVinci Mobile Pro.

Appraisal Desktop:

• Appraisal Desktop will no longer become unusable if your Internet connection is lost while it’s open.

Comps Database:

• Importing comps from reports in the File Cabinet will now import the correct latitude, longitude, and geocoding confidence.

Contacts:  

• Corrected a specific scenario that would cause contact synchronization to fail.

DaVinci Support:

• DaVinci backup files are now created whenever a report is moved from one machine to another.
• Touched fields from DaVinci now transfer to WinTOTAL correctly.

General: 

• Athena created reports containing any [2 photo] Photograph Addendum [Ltr] [Client] form now opens correctly in Aurora. 
• Switching PowerViews while WinTOTAL is auto saving will no longer cause WinTOTAL to lock up.
• Losing your Internet connection after creating a new report will no longer display a message that WinTOTAL was unable to insert the report into the database when the report is saved.
• Losing your Internet connection while in an existing report will no longer display a message that WinTOTAL was unable to update the report in the database when the report is saved.
• Regional settings set to English (Canada) no longer cause problems creating new reports.
• When a report is in the middle of it's save process, you will no longer be able to leave the current PowerView until it is complete.  
• Attempting to save a report in the Order PowerView while WinTOTAL is already in the process of saving will no longer display a message that the report was unable to be inserted or updated in the database.
• Cloning a report, saving and then clicking the Forms PowerView will no longer display a message that the report was not inserted into the database.

Sketch:

• The sketch area boxes will now be checked in the Sketch PowerView when opening a DaVinci report into WinTOTAL.
