Today’s WinTOTAL Aurora update is now available on our servers. To download it, click the “Get Updates” button on the toolbar in your Appraisal Desktop.

This update has improvements to many areas, but centers largely around the Files PowerView.  We’ve incorporated much of your feedback to smooth out a lot of “minor” things.  As always, you can read the complete release notes below, or visit the Aurora Status website for information on the update as well as other upcoming items.  To visit it now, click here.

This update also contains our latest General Purpose form, the GP Condo.  Like all the forms in our complete GP series, it’s available in both legal and letter sizes.  Thank you to all who gave feedback and helped make it another great addition to our GP forms line up.

Last, I wanted to let everyone know that we’re shifting from two updates per month to one per month. You’ll still get the same total number of improvements and fixes, but we'll be able to run longer QA and Beta testing cycles. It’s a win-win for everyone. Aurora is still the priority. We’re simply modifying our approach a bit.

WinTOTAL Aurora (v5) – July 18, 2007 Update
This update contains improvements throughout WinTOTAL.

Files PowerView:

• Canadian customers will now see Province and Postal Code in the column layout and Advanced Find.
• The Add to Desktop Billing link on expanded reports now correctly imports the report into WinTOTAL’s Billing. 
• Right-clicking multiple reports with auto-expand enabled will no longer leave all of the reports expanded.
• Dragging and dropping a report from an attached directory now prompts you if the file already exists in your report folder. 
• Exporting to QuickBooks right after marking a report as paid now works correctly. 
• XSite login information is always refreshed to show in the Appraisal Desktop regardless of where it is entered in WinTOTAL. 
• A backslash can be used now in the name when renaming an existing report. 
• Right-clicking on a report before left clicking to select it no longer causes the order form split screen view to not update properly.
• All columns showing currency are now formatted with a $ and commas, when necessary. 
• Canceling changes on the Workfile split screen will now remove files that were just added. 
• Emptying the Deleted Items folder from the menu will no longer prompt when the folder is already empty. 
• In Windows Vista, the "Rebuild Reports List" menu item has been restored on the Options menu. 
• Renaming a report outside of WinTOTAL that is Billing enabled and then rebuilding the reports list for the folder that the report is in will now properly update the filename in the database.
• Renaming files in the Workfile tab via right-click now works correctly when Windows is set to hide file extensions of known file types.
• Reports list refreshes immediately when emptying Deleted Items folder. 
• Reports moved from an attached directory will now display in the folder they were moved to when Regional and Language Options are set to English (Canada).
• Reports that are expanded in the Appraisal Desktop are no longer collapsed when a report is closed.
• Sorting by the report state status is now available.
• Sorting the Files PowerView by Sale Price now correctly sorts numerically. 
• The Appraisal Date in the column layout has been renamed to Effective Date.  This change will take place the next time you restore default settings in the column layout.
• The Appraisal Desktop will no longer lose focus after running certain billing reports.
• Using CTRL + D on an Order Form, while in the Appraisal Desktop's Order Form split screen, no longer replaces the data in your Windows clipboard with the date.
• Using the Move/Copy option to move files from an attached directory or flash drive into a folder in the Appraisal Desktop now moves the backup files as well as the .zap file.
• When adding a new folder via right-click, the collapsed folders will no longer expand. 
• When moving a report to a folder in which the same file name already exists, the normal file renaming convention is used in which a single digit is added to the filename. 
• Multiple e-mail addresses can now be used when sending status updates. 
• When syncing Pocket TOTAL and viewing the Synchronized Folder, new reports will now show up immediately without having to leave the folder. 
• When the folder structure is set up to have multiple subfolders with the same name (i.e. 2007 --> URAR --> Smith County, 2006 --> URAR --> Smith County, etc.), closing out of a report in the forms engine will now keep focus in the correct folder in the Appraisal Desktop. 
• When the folder structure is set up to have multiple subfolders with the same name (i.e. 2007 --> URAR --> Smith County, 2006 --> URAR --> Smith County, etc.), running net.X Connect will now keep focus in the correct folder in the Appraisal Desktop. 
• When viewing recoverable files, there should no longer be any blank entries in the list. 
• When viewing the Order Form in the split screen, the location map, if present, will be displayed. 
• While displaying a report's Order Form in the split screen, saving a report in the forms engine should no longer put focus back on the Appraisal Desktop. 
• When opening a report that is a newer version of an existing report, cancelling the dialog box should no longer add the report to the Appraisal Desktop anyway.

AppraisalPort Delivery Plugin:

• TIF images now convert properly when using the AppraisalPort delivery plugin.

Contacts PowerView:

• A rare scenario has been resolved which was preventing shift+click from selecting contacts properly after changing views from Companies to Contacts.
• Contacts that were upgraded when you installed Aurora will now correctly associate with the contacts in your Athena reports. 
• The entire list of companies should no longer be selected by clicking on a single company’s header line.

Desktop Billing:

• The report criteria prompt now correctly adjusts to show all available criteria fields.
• Desktop Billing reports now open correctly after associating with an XSite Order. 
• Choosing a client for an invoice after selecting a Fee/Job type will now properly update the fee amount based on the Fee table for the client chosen.
• Fee Tables with no clients assigned to them are now labeled appropriately with "0 items" in their header.
• Focus will now go directly to the Fee Table Description field when attempting to rename a Fee Table with an invalid name.
• Invoices assigned to ad hoc contacts will now display properly in all management reports.
• The parenthesis around the area code of a phone number will now display on the To section of automatic invoices.
• The spacebar will now toggle the checkbox in the Import Wizard.
• The parameters dialog that prompts for filter criteria when running a Billing Report now scrolls properly as tab focus moves through the fields.
• You can no longer sort the list of files in the Billing Import Wizard by the Checkbox column.
• WinTOTAL now gives you the option to save the invoice information when moving a report from a WinTOTAL folder to an attached folder. 
• QuickLists are no longer able to be used in the Invoice Editor window for non-editable fields.

Digital Signatures:

• A problem has been corrected where TIF images used as a WinTOTAL user's seal would not display or save correctly.
• Typing new X and Y offset values manually for the digital signature and seal will update the image in the preview window as they are typed now.

General:

• An icon has been added next to the FEMA Zone and Census Tract fields to download these pieces of data. 

Help PowerView:

• Printing update notes should no longer change the default printer if a non-default printer is selected to print with.

HoverLinks:

• Using the pipe character in a new HoverLink for an internet website should now work correctly.  

Image Optimizer:

• The Image Optimizer should no longer stay in memory after cropping large images.
• Right-clicking on an image in the Image Optimizer while using the Crop tool will no longer cause the image to disappear.
• The Image Optimizer should no longer tie up system resources when running but not actively processing a request.

net.X Connect:

• All order numbers associated with a report now synchronize correctly between WinTOTAL and your XSite.
• When setting the status of a report to Inspection Scheduled, appointment dates and times will now automatically transfer into the Add Status Message dialog.
• Contact's address settings are now synchronized properly when downloading orders from your XSite.
• Enhanced APO orders no longer give net.X Connect errors when opened in WinTOTAL.
• In certain situations, setting status on an order could result in a blank list of available statuses.  This has been corrected.
• New orders are no longer synchronized from the XSite when cancelling out of the Associate Order screen.
• The main file number on form is now synchronized correctly from the XSite to WinTOTAL.
• XSite enabled orders requiring acceptance must now be accepted before they can be associated to existing reports.

Order PowerView:

• Canadian users will now see Province and P.C. when configuring the driving directions option on the Order PowerView. 
• Pressing the enter key in the Report Description field, under certain circumstances, will no longer jump to the bottom of the order form.

Quantrix Delivery Wizard:

• Contact phone numbers for Co-Borrower and Borrower are now included on the Quantrix order form.

Report Delivery:

• The XSite Order Manager Information shown at the bottom of your delivery emails will now show "Visit <your XSite> to place and track appraisal orders." 
• When delivering a report in Windows Vista and using your standard text message, carriage returns will now display correctly. 

Aurora Support for DaVinci:

• This update includes files to provide support opening DaVinci files via email, double-clicking in Windows Explorer, dropping into the Files PowerView folders via Windows Explorer, and from attaching a folder in the Appraisal Desktop. 
• Opening DaVinci reports with a multi-page sketch in Aurora will now properly label the sketch pages.
