Today’s WinTOTAL Aurora update is now available on our servers. To download it, click the “Get Updates” button on the toolbar in your Appraisal Desktop.

As promised, this update has tweaks and improvements to many areas of WinTOTAL. You can read the complete release notes below, or visit the Aurora Status website for information on the update as well as other upcoming items.  To visit it now, click here.

In addition to continued Aurora maintenance, we've got a number of significant projects running in parallel that I'd like to quickly touch on.

1. Our consumer-centric General Purpose form is currently in its first round of customer review. Being consumer-centric, the front page looks more like a sales brochure than an IRS-type appraisal form. For those of you doing FSBO and other non-lender work, you're going to be impressed. We'll have a version on the Aurora Status site that you can try out in a few weeks.
2. Virtual Earth integration with WinTOTAL is coming in October. In addition to street maps like you have now, you'll also be able to get aerial, hybrid and Bird's Eye imagery, all directly inside WinTOTAL. To read more about Virtual Earth integration, click here.
3. In the next few weeks, be on the lookout for an invitation to try an alpha release of our new contact management tool that addresses contact synchronization, merging, deleting and management issues.
4. On the DaVinci front, we've got a significant update next week that addresses much of the feedback users have sent us up to this point. After that update, we'll have smaller releases every week, leading all the way up to the DaVinci live release later this year. Thank you to all who've used it in the field and sent in your feedback. WinTOTAL Aurora (v5) – August 15, 2007 Update
This update contains improvements throughout WinTOTAL, as well as a new 64-bit compatible PDF driver.  You will be prompted to reboot after installing this update.

Forms PowerView

• Clicking on the scroll bar advances the form one screen at a time and clicking on the scroll bar arrow advances the screen one line at a time. 
• The “2 Decimal Places” and “Leading + or -” formatting options are no longer available unless a field has been marked as “Numbers Only”.
• During an auto-save, WinTOTAL no longer adds the data in the current field to the recent response list.
• Fixed an issue where hitting OK on the field format box would change the justification.
• Deleting QuickNotes will refresh the screen immediately and remove the balloon icon. 
• Applying the Bold attribute to a checkbox will no longer cause an error.
• Auto-complete drop-downs can now be closed using one click on the arrow instead of two. 
• Bolding an adjustment field in the Comparable Sales grid is now visible immediately.
• Bolding only part of the value for a calculated field no longer results in incorrect calculations.
• Carriage return characters are no longer saved to recent responses for multi-line fields containing only one line of text.
• Deleting QuickNotes will delete the appropriate QuickNote now.
• Extra characters will no longer be added to numbers only fields when setting font to 14 point or larger fonts.
• Fields which are marked as Read-Only no longer accept text if typed in immediately after changing the property to Read-Only.
• Long Lender/Client addresses will show properly on Exterior-Only form 2055.
• Marking a multi-line field as Read-Only no longer causes using the Enter key for navigation to lose focus when moving past the field.
• Stretching a report across multiple monitors will now display correctly. 
• The down arrow will no longer move to the end of a multi-line field that contains text before moving on to the next field.
• The drop-down boxes for the page header of the addenda will no longer show in certain scenarios where the page header is set to not show.
• The Forms menu option, Field Format..., now checks for the report being signed before allowing the field format screen to open.
• The Subject Prior Sale History information will now correctly transfer to the Additional Listings form.
• Using Alt+# will now properly insert a QuickList entry after using CTRL+K to clear a multi-line field.
• Using the Down Arrow or Shift + Down Arrow no longer skips the remaining lines in a multi-line field if there is not text directly below the cursor.
• Using the Shift + Down Arrow keys in a multi-line field will now add each additional line to the selection rather than selecting the entire multi-line field as well as the next field.
• When unlocking fields, those which have a non-standard background color will now be restored correctly.  This issue was most noticeable on the Table Of Contents page. 
• Text and background colors can now be changed when multiple fields are selected.
• Text within a QuickNote can now be navigated via the arrow keys.
• CTRL + Page up and CTRL + Page Down navigation is now functional from the invoice while Desktop Billing is enabled.
• The Right arrow and Left arrows can now be used to navigate out of checkboxes.
• Upon opening a report, closing the splash screen via clicking the X will no longer cause WinTOTAL to stop responding.
• With focus in a field off-screen (above), clicking on the Forms PowerView button will no longer scroll the form up.
• Choosing Bold, Italic, or Underline attributes on the right-click menu while one or more checkboxes are selected will no longer display an error.
• Modifying data in a field and leaving the field via CTRL + Left/Right arrow will now hold the new value.
• The Font Increase / Decrease formatting buttons will now function without highlighting the text in the current field.
• F2 now pushes adjustments forward in the sales comparison section of the Forms PowerView.
• Borrower and Lender boxes no longer appear on the E&O addenda.

Addenda PowerView

• Fixed an issue where editing a table would cause WinTOTAL to display a white screen.
• In the Load Addenda view, clicking Load when there are no addenda to load will no longer give you an error.
• The Supplemental Addendum w/sig block [Multi-page] form can now be edited in this view.
• Using Times New Roman or Arial on the Desktop Quantitative 2055, extra characters are no longer added when overflowing to the addendum.
• Stretching a report across three monitors no longer causes an issue in the Addenda PowerView.
• Typing into the Addenda split screen no longer causes the top view to jump to a different location.
• When loading a multi-page addendum, all pages are immediately shown without refreshing.
• Opening a report created in Pocket TOTAL with an addendum, there is now an option to open the Pocket Addenda. 
• When overflowing text using a non-standard font, extra characters will no longer be displayed at the beginning and end of the text on the addendum.

Billing PowerView

• Invoices exactly 30 days past due now only show in the 30 Days filter in the Invoices section of Desktop Billing.

• Pressing the delete key in a non-edit field on a signed invoice will now prompt to remove the signature.
• Pressing the Enter key in the second date field will no longer get stuck in a loop in the invoice editor.
• When the Create New Invoice screen is maximized, the Choose Invoice drop-down is now fully visible.
• Sorting by a column in the Accounting view will now allow you to view the currently highlighted invoice by clicking on the View Invoice link. 
• Using a QuickList item inside the Invoice Editor now works properly.
• When an appraiser contact's name changes, the Pay Employee screen in Desktop Billing will now update to show the new name.
• When Selecting Client and then Job Type (with all fee tables, products, and Clients setup correctly), Preferred Payment Method and Base Fee will show up correctly.

Comps PowerView

• Canadian version only: Going to the Forms PowerView after adding comps on the Side-by-side view will now add photo pages correctly.
• Auto-save now works when a photo is expanded in the Comps Database.
• Deleting comps is now possible when more than 32,767 exist in the database.
• When viewing duplicate comps during importation, the fields are no longer editable.
• Resizing the window will no longer cause the program to stop responding.
• Adding Comps from the database into the report now gives a progress bar.
• Changing the formatting for an adjustment no longer causes a recalculation.
• Default formatting is now automatically applied after using the 'Load default formats' option from the Forms menu.
• QuickLists will now work for checkboxes both individually and as the first field of a multi-field QuickList.
• Searching in the Comps PowerView using the 'Detailed' search now returns the correct number of search results.
• The Comps PowerView now gives the ability to change the font color and background color of multiple fields at once. 
• The Override number format option in the Forms menu will now work properly in the Comps Side-by-side view.

Contents PowerView

• The Preview link now works on new reports without going to the Forms PowerView first. 
• Focus is kept after deleting a form and canceling out of Contents.
• The customize view has been updated to have the same layout as the default view.  A Collapse button has also been added to the default view.
• When clicking preview in the Contents PowerView, it will now display the form correctly without having to reselect the form in the list.
• When you have the preview window open in the Contents PowerView you are now able to drag and drop forms from "Available Forms" to "Forms in My Report" successfully.

DaVinci

• Reports created in DaVinci now open in Aurora without needing the separate patch from www.alamode.com/labs.  

Competitor Conversion Wizard

• When converting Comps Databases from Clickforms, it will now correctly import the photos into the database as well as put them into the Images folder. 

Report Delivery

• Delivering a report through the GAC/FiServ Lending Solutions plugin now correctly attaches your images to the delivered file.

Files PowerView

• Fixed a scenario which would keep files from opening via the tracking filters in the Appraisal Desktop.
• When attempting to edit an order form from the Appraisal Desktop while the report is open will now prompt you to override or cancel.

General

• Changing the font size of data in a numbers-only field will no longer add extra characters to that field. 
• A scenario in which WinTOTAL could display a blank user list on Windows Vista has been fixed.
• Changing the Appraiser and Supervisor Certified checkbox in the Order PowerView will now populate the correct field on the major form with the License number.
• Changing the field formatting via the right-click menu now trigger calculations and transfers to be applied.
• Double-clicking on a seal when a report is signed is no longer problematic.
• Clicking anywhere on a drop-down combo box will now expand it, instead of being required to click on the arrow on the right side of the drop-down.
• Drop-down combo boxes that don't allow text to be entered into them will no longer show a cursor.
• Field formatting is now retained when swapping major forms.
• Fixed an issue where certain drop-down menus required two clicks before the cursor would leave the dropdown.
• Reordering forms in a report from the Aurora print engine will no longer affect the order form.
• When swapping major forms, any applicable default data will now be placed on the new form.
• When using a drop-down combo box, the keyboard can now be used for navigation in its list.
• After merging, all data transfers between forms will now be performed.
• Merging in a report that has an AI Summary Appraisal Report Form AI-100.02, contacts are now editable.

Images PowerView

• The advanced find in the Images on disk section now searches for old photos
• A scenario in which incorrect thumbnails can be shown in the Images Database has been resolved.
• Copying and pasting images into WinTOTAL will now launch the Image Optimizer, if necessary.
• Dragging and dropping an image within a form quickly after browsing for that image no longer causes an issue.
• Pasting an image into a report now adds a new entry in the Images Database.
• Using the 'Get Photos' HoverLink while in the Images PowerView no longer causes an issue.
• When copying and pasting an image within a WinTOTAL report, the pasted image could become 3 to 4 times larger than the original.  This has been corrected.
• Images can now be optimized from the 'Unused Images' view with 'View Previews' unchecked.

Invoice Editor

• The "To:" field is now editable in the Tear off section at the bottom of the Automatic Tearoff w/logo form. 

Maps PowerView

• When editing a Flood Map from the Forms PowerView you will no longer be able to click back to get to step one the first time.
• Auto-save is now paused while in the Map Wizard to avoid any focus issues.

Order PowerView

• After clearing out a field, and placing data back into that field, the letters inputted now go in the correct order.
• When saving and immediately clicking the X to close WinTOTAL before it finishes saving, an error is no longer displayed.
• Formatting the appointment notes, dates, duration, and time no longer prevent the appointment from syncing with Outlook.
• Auto-save will no longer cause an error if the Order PowerView's Ad Hoc pop-up window is open.
• Formatting (bold, italicize, underline, etc.) contacts inside a report no longer causes WinTOTAL to prompt to create new ad hoc contacts.
• Switching to the Forms PowerView without entering a Report Description now places the cursor into the 'Report Description' field so that one can be easily added.
• Dashes are no longer displayed after contacts that do not contain license information.
• Tab and Enter will now leave the current field when typing in a contact that matches a contact in the drop-down.
• Manually entering contacts will now correctly transfer if you have the Same As option set.
• Merging reports no longer marks fields on the Order PowerView as touched.
• The Property Type field will now remember and display recent responses.
• There is no longer a blank space following the last product in the list in the 'Job Type' drop-down list.
• Using Ctrl + K to clear out contacts in the Inspection section now functions properly.
• Using the ‘Clear entire form’ option in the Edit menu will no longer clear out the report description.
• When setting a Contact to ‘Same as’ another and then typing into the other will now update the first contact.
• Contact pop-up boxes can be closed with the Escape key on a signed report without getting the remove signature warning.

Printing

• Signatures and seals now display properly on Supplemental Addendum with Signature block when printing to a physical printer.
• Forms from the General Text Addendum now mark correctly in the "Show in TOC" column in the Print Engine.
• Marking fields as non-printing no longer causes hidden fields on the form to print. 
• New version of our custom PDF driver allows you to print to PDF on 64-bit versions of Windows XP and Vista.
• When using Print Server mode, WinTOTAL can now print to PDF.
• The field background color will now print correctly in multi-line fields if it has been changed.
• Using the Arial Narrow font now displays correctly when printing to PDF. 
• With the default data font size set to 7, printing to PDF will wrap data correctly on multi-line fields.

Sketch PowerView

• Printing from the File menu now allows you to choose which printer you would like to print the sketch to.
• Importing a sketch from an old report will now show Building Sketch in the header at the top as soon as it imports into the report.

Tech Support Assistant

• The Athena Database conversion utility has been updated to disable the ‘OK’ button while the conversion is in progress.
• If the DB Diagnostic Utility fails to repair the database, it no longer deletes the log file.
• WinTOTAL's login to the database can now be repaired using the Tech Support Assistant.
