I wanted to let you know that the update scheduled for today is now available on our servers, with an incredible number of improvements in it. 

This is easily the most significant update so far in terms of scope, effort, and results.  It’s been used by hundreds of volunteer “alpha” and “beta” appraisers just like you over the past month, many selected specifically because they encountered problems previously, and the feedback has been superb across the board.  You’ll like it.

Instead of sticking a long list at the end of this e-mail, the details of everything we changed and that you need to know about the update is listed on our status website.  To go to our Aurora status website, point your browser to:

Once you’ve read about it, simply click on “Get Updates” on the toolbar in your Appraisal Desktop.

Before I go, I want to quickly highlight a couple of items you’ll see in greater detail on the other pages of the website, but which bear repeating:

• Our biggest project, the Desktop Billing and Management system, has made it to the fully functional “alive” stage, with final tweaking being done for beta release.  This is a major milestone given the scale and complexity of the development, and we’re confident you’ll be using it very soon. 
• This past week, the new net.X Connect tool was distributed to a number of early testers.  As you’ll recall, its intent is to give you full control over all connectivity between your desktop and the web.  It’s a major improvement.
• Further enhancement to maps, comps, photos, and report efficiency are topics on which you’ll hear more out of us over the coming weeks.  We’ve got many projects running in parallel on those fronts right now.

Don’t forget, you can see more details about desktop billing and other mid- to long-range plans on the status website.  We change the site almost daily with new information about projects and release schedules.
