Re:        Update schedule and components

I wanted to give everyone a heads up regarding some adjustments we’re making to optimize our update schedule.  The net result is that we’ll shift updates to every two weeks, so that they’re narrower in scope and easier on everyone.

To avoid having the first two-week update coming out right after the 4th of July weekend, which causes problems for our volunteer appraiser beta testers as well as our own staff, the Aurora update scheduled for June 23rd will be moved to June 29th.  From the 29th through the rest of the summer, there will be a first-of-month and mid-month update.  You’ll get an e-mail from me before each one.

In the next June 29th Aurora update, the biggest change is that we’re releasing the new net.X Connect feature.  It’s a huge improvement.  (To learn more about net.X Connect, click here.)

We're also planning to release updates to the USPAP Identification form (USPAP 2006), the HomeFocus Desktop Valuation form and the RELS Desktop Summary Appraisal Report form on June 29th.  The changes in these forms were required to cover the updates in USPAP concerning the elimination of the Departure Rule and the introduction of the Scope of Work Rule.

For more information about what’s planned in future Aurora updates, click here to visit the Aurora Status page on our website.  You'll find information on upcoming updates, a history of past updates and answers to common questions. There's plenty of good information there so be sure to check it out.  We’ll keep it updated, and you’ll be hearing from me twice a month during the summer as well.

As always, thanks for your business.
