Our reach may be a surprise to some, but it makes sense when you look closely. Over half of the appraisers in the U.S. are already our software users — but Mercury works with all the other major software formats too. AMCs use plugins powered by Mercury to do everything from pushing XML comps and orders to those appraisers, to running client-specific QC rules on their desktops prior to delivery, to receiving perfect Native MISMO XML ready for the Fannie and Freddie UMDP portal, to managing fee panels and back-office billing and payment.
Those AMCs get to choose from a wide variety of options and features, so they can “mix and match” what Mercury offers. That’s because Mercury is built on a SaaS cloud-based core powered by XML APIs (secure, hidden web services), but with optional web-based front and back ends and appraiser desktop connectivity tools arrayed around that central hub.
Some AMCs use their own routing and delivery mechanisms. They simply deploy our custom script-driven Direct Connect Plugins™ to manage the desktop XML creation, QC rules, and delivery back to their servers. They get MISMO XML (and other flavors) without the errors caused by OCR conversion or PDF extraction.
Other AMCs use our core web service APIs to manage Mercury Network functions such as order creation and statusing, but in a “black box” fashion that plugs into their existing infrastructure at whatever level of complexity they desire.
And there’s another group that uses our web front and back ends to manage 100% of the ordering, statusing, reviewing, delivery, panel management, and accounting. They can do it all with their own public branding, using our optional “VMP XSite” system. They can even handle credit card processing and mortgage broker “on behalf of” order placement without any IT staff needed, by outsourcing the heavy lifting to us. Why reinvent the wheel?
