It's ALIVE! (Mwuuhahahahaha)
There have literally been hundreds of you that have asked for updates on our progress with DaVinci for iPhone and that have asked to help test the prototype once it's made available later this summer. And true to our word, below are screenshots of the actual application running on a new iPhone 3GS (it also runs on the other iPhone models as well).
DaVinci for iPhone is alive, running, gathering data and sketching. We're currently working on the syncing application that will make sending files to and from your desktop PC seamless. The screenshots below show a basic walkthrough of the app and hit on many of the features we've been taking questions on. We'll be putting a video together in the coming weeks as well.
Launching from the Home screenDaVinci for iPhone will soon be available in Apple's App Store, and will have the icon shown here.

Using the File ManagerWhen DaVinci for iPhone launches, by default you're taken to the File Manager screen. As you can see, here you can Create New File, Open Existing File, or modify your Preferences. Also shown are a list of your Recent Files. Tapping an existing file takes you to the Order details for that file.
|

Viewing order detailsAs you can see, this file already has the order details filled in, but can be edited at any time. Also, notice that you're on the Order tab on the icon bar at the bottom of your screen. You now have a file open, so you can tap Order, Data, Sketch, Photos, or More. (More on More below...) |
|
Leveraging iPhones mappingWhile editing or viewing the order details, you can also view a map of the property's location using the iPhone's integrated mapping. |

Calendar integration in ordersAlso from within the order details, DaVinci for iPhone can launch a calendar for scheduling purposes. |

Editing basic order detailsWhile viewing or editing the Order details, you can see that you can also choose Property type, and basically edit just about anything on the order you wish, just like you can within WinTOTAL itself. In this screen, our QuickLists for Property Type are shown and can be used. |

Data gathering sectionsLet's move on to the Data tab. Here is where you'll actually do your data gathering. You can see that DaVinci for iPhone breaks down the various "types" of data to be gathered the same way as DaVinci Mobile Pro for Tablet PCs. |

Start gathering dataFrom the screen above , tapping Neighborhood takes you to the Neighborhood screen shown here, where you can begin to gather necessary data. Notice how the Name field under Characteristics says, "North Haven", and has a small arrow to the right. Tapping the arrow takes you to your QuickLists that have been synchronized from WinTOTAL. |

Entering free form textBy actually tapping in the Description field on the screen above, you're able to enter text using the iPhone's keyboard. You can also choose to turn this data into a new QuickList item. |

Checkboxes, text and QuickListsInitially we scratched our heads a bit about how to best present data gathering elements such as checkboxes, text and QuickLists, all for one field. The screen you see to the right is where we landed, and it does a great job of allowing for easy data entry. Notice the way that checkboxes and text entry fields are shown, as well as the arrow to the right of the field that takes you to your QuickLists.

Free form text vs. QuickListsFrom the Data Gathering screen we selected Exterior, which brings us to this screen. This is another example of the way data gathering screens are laid out in DaVinci for iPhone.

QuickLists sync from WinTOTALAssuming you'd tapped the QuickList arrow to the right of the Ext. Walls field in the screen above, you'd be presented with your available QuickLists for this field. Simply tap a QuickList and you'll be returned to the previous screen, with the field now filled in from your QuickList data.

Gathering room specific dataBy tapping Entrance in the screen above, you'll be presented with a basic data gathering screen allowing you to quickly gather the data you need from the room. |

Leverage iPhone's cameraNotice that while gathering room-specific data, you're also able to snap pictures, in this case of the kitchen. You can also add labels to the photo that are then transferred back into WinTOTAL. |

Sketching on the iPhone is easyOn the Sketch tab, you can easily sketch with the touch interface the iPhone handles so well. Being able to pinch/zoom is very handy, and allows you to handle most sketching functions that you'll need in the field with ease. Even arcs and angles. |

Add photo detailsSelecting a photo from the screen above brings you here. You can add labels, addresses and other information pertinent to the photo, and these data elements transfer back to WinTOTAL as well.

Additional essential featuresUnder the More tab are other essential tools. You can also use the Preferences option to set the default tabs you'd like to have available on the bottom tabs bar. |

Manage comps in DaVinciYou can also gather comps data with DaVinci for iPhone. Simply click the Add Comp button, and enter the property information. This is also where you can snap photos for the comp. |

Leverage iPhone's voice recorderDaVinci for iPhone also leverages the iPhone's built-in Voice Recorder. You can take voice notes at any time, and you can even attach labels so you'll know which recording goes with which bit of data you've gathered. And these will be transferred back into your WinTOTAL report and stored in your Digital Workfile automatically for you. |
