March 29, 2005 ORLANDO, FL -- a la mode, the nation’s leading mortgage and appraisal technology company, announced today that it has completed a custom plug-in for its XSites Order Manager (XOM) allowing appraisers contracted by Fannie Mae to deliver Real Estate Owned (REO) appraisal reports to the government-sponsored enterprise. Appraisers engaged by Fannie Mae to help manage its REO inventory can now deliver their completed appraisal reports through a la mode’s XSites Order Manager. Appraisers will have their completed reports automatically checked against a set of business rules to ensure the reports meet Fannie Mae’s guidelines. Once any errors or omissions are caught – on the appraiser’s end, reducing REO disposition costs for Fannie Mae – XOM will deliver the completed and rules-checked report to Fannie Mae via HTTP protocol. “This is a cost-effective solution that alerts the appraiser to any problems before delivery, in time to correct them. As a result, we should receive more reliable appraisal reports faster, minimizing our disposition costs,” said Larry Brown, Fannie Mae’s vice president for property disposition. “We are delighted Fannie Mae chose a la mode’s XSites Order Manager as a mechanism for appraisal report delivery,” said Jennifer Miller, Project Manager with a la mode. “With tens of thousands of appraisers using XOM, Fannie has at its disposal the best, most technologically savvy appraisers in the industry, and can leverage their expertise and technology to the company’s benefit. It’s a win-win-win, for Fannie Mae, a la mode and our appraiser customers.” About a la mode
