Executive Vice President, Products

Chris has been a with a la mode for four years as a Product Manager.  Before coming to a la mode, he worked in the software industry for nearly 20 years, and has done everything from technical support, testing and QA, to development and product design in past lives. Chris works out of our Salt Lake City office and focuses on our web-based and marketing-centric products.  If you want to know about marketing tools, XSites, the XSites Network, XSellerate, or what's going on in our labs, Chris will be happy to answer your questions.



Anthony Young

Residential Appraiser

Anthony is a Certified Residential Appraiser and principle of Young & Associates Realty Valuation and Consulting in San Ramon, California, where he specializes in the valuation of complex and "high-end" residential properties and housing market trend analysis.

He teaches classes on graphing and charting techniques for studying the buying behaviors to conclude adjustments in valuations and has developed a "How-To-Do Trend-Analysis DVD" that teaches professionals to statistically measure (and visually graph) the behavior of the Real Estate Marketplace over time and to provide auditable and verifiable results within the appraisal report.

Anthony is a moderator for the Inland California Appraisers Forum and a frequent contributor on topics associated with statistical analysis, market trends, and graphing to analyze and support adjustments and value conclusions. He is currently pursuing the SRA designation while on the path to his MAI.

Appraisal Sales Engineer

During his four years with a la mode, Joel has worked as a Customer Service representative, Tech Team Leader, new hire and technician Instructor, and more recently as a Sales Engineer, helping new customers get up and running.  Joel has also spent a lot of time traveling around to appraiser offices, training staff members and sharing his expertise in product workflow and productivity for different types of appraisal practices.  Joel has taught tens of thousands of appraisers at Regional Seminars, webinars, Conventions, and Hands On Training classes.

David Braun has been performing appraisal, review and consulting in East Tennessee since 1976.  He is an Appraisal Institute and USPAP instructor. He has developed and taught several appraisal continuing education seminars, and made several presentations for the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFEIC) to examiners on appraisal subjects.  David has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a major in Corporate Finance, from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He has also completed twelve hours in Personal Management at the University of Tennessee Graduate School.

He is an MAI and an SRA. He served on the National Instructor Subcommittee from 2001-2003, and currently serves as the General Associate Guidance Counselor for the local Appraisal Institute chapter. He is a recipient of the Roscoe Jackson Award in 2000 and 2001 by the Greater Tennessee Chapter for "strong character and leadership," and the William S. Latimore, Jr., Award in 2004 in recognition of "a significant or unique contribution to the Chapter through active participation in its activities, and ... an outstanding contribution to the realization of goals of the Chapter."

Jeff’s company, TechSource, is an Atlanta-based technology consulting firm that specializes in serving appraisers.  Jeff, formerly an appraiser in South Florida, founded TechSource in 2001 with a mission to provide full time IT consulting services to real estate appraisers nationwide.  Today, Jeff and TechSource help appraisers with network installation, troubleshooting and maintenance, domain and peer to peer infrastructures, home office users, office integrated software, cabling and wireless technology.  They also provide on-site support and training for the complete line of a la mode

This is Brian’s fourth a la mode Convention.  This year he’ll be leading a Paperless Office class to help you understand the real costs of paper; how to create a paperless mindset, and how to get your paperless office started.  Brian is a 24 year veteran appraiser from central Illinois and has been an a la mode customer since the late 80’s.  You might also know Brian as moderator of the popular online WinTOTAL Users Group, or as owner of the AppraisalScoop.com blog.

Patrick Egger is a real estate analyst and Certified General Appraiser with more than 35 years of experience. From 1986 to 1995 he served as Vice-President of Market Analysis and Valuation for PriMerit Federal Savings Bank (formerly Nevada Savings & Loan) where he was responsible for matters pertaining to the real estate market analysis and valuation function for the bank and its joint venture development operation.

Before joining Nevada Savings, he was in charge of the Southern Division Appraisal function for Nevada First Bank. Prior to entering the appraisal profession, he was a staff member of the Clark County Regional Planning Council where he worked on demographic, housing and economic studies.

Patrick is a past Program Chairman of the Southern Nevada Land Faire Real Estate conference and was a 2-term Vice-Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies at UNLV.

He has been a guest speaker on the housing market and economic conditions, real estate issues and appraisal topics for various organizations including First American Title Company, Stewart Title of Nevada, the Nevada Apartment Association, The Commercial Marketing Group and The Las Vegas Chapter of the Appraisal Institute along with other civic and business organizations.

He teaches continuing education classes for real estate appraisers and agents on Housing Market Analysis, Appraisal Techniques, reporting and Valuation Issues and writes a weekly column for The Appraisal Scoop.
