Lead your clients, don't be lead by them

Below are just a few ideas that we've come up with as well as other tips from appraisers using XSites to make more money, save more time, and provide their clients with better customer service.

Tip #1
Enter orders for your clients
Order forms filled out in Aurora are pushed to your XSite for your client because WinTOTAL and XSites are completely connected. Your clients will see the automatic e-mail status messages and how easy it is to retrieve reports through your XSite. Many of our customers tell us their clients have started ordering on their XSite as a result, and now they're getting less phone calls.
   
Tip #2
Send all your clients an e-mail
They won't know they can order on your XSite if you don't tell them. Make sure to let them know how ordering online benefits them with automatic status messages so they won't have to call, report delivery is easier, they can re-download reports from your site any time. Plus they can log into their own secure area of your site whenever they want to check status on all their orders too.
   
Tip #3
Go to your clients office
When was the last time you were face to face with your clients? This is a great opportunity to schedule an office visit and show them how easy it is to order online. Be sure they add your ordering page to their Favorites menu, or make a shortcut icon on their Desktop so they all they have to do is double-click it to enter their orders on your XSite.

"Here’s how I did it…"

, owner of the Dunklin Appraisal Group in Florence, Mississippi has some creative, and effective, ways for getting his clients to order online using his Appraiser XSite.

"I got creative.  I found the best way to get clients to use my XSite was to go to their office (with email, when is the last time you ever visited a mortgage lender!?) and log onto my XSite and show each processor how to set up their account.  Then, to get an advantage on my competition, I set the link to my website as an icon on their desktop.  That way they don't have to remember my web address.  

I've had a website more than two years now and get most of my orders through my XSite.  Those that do not come via the website are each delivered via other email methods, with a notice each time that they should order through my XSite if they want to benefit from the daily status reports, ease of retrieval, and never having to find me to get additional copies of the report (because the PDF file is retained on my website in their secure login area).

Also, when clients call and ask for my fax number, I tell them I'm out in the field and forgot to turn on the fax program on my computer.  While we're on the phone, I walk them through how to order on my website.  Works every time!  Once they do it and get the email status notifications instead of having to call me to for the status, they love it."
