Data gathering in DaVinci is designed to be completely customizable. We know that no two appraisers gather data in the field the same way. Plus, it's nearly impossible to define all the different types of rooms and amenity combinations out there. So we designed DaVinci to be completely customizable. It's simple for you to customize and change the data gathering workflow in DaVinci to be the same as how you work. And it only takes a few seconds. In fact, you can customize right in the field, midstream.
DaVinci is organized to take data the same way you do an inspection - room by room. And it's all customizable.
You can add/delete/change any field in the data gathering screens in real time. You can change field formats to be anything you want - from simple checkboxes to multi-line text fields with double QuickLists. You can define as many room types as you want and can add any element to any room. Do you want a custom Master Bedroom that has a washer and dryer in it? It's possible with DaVinci. Plus, all the data elements you gather in DaVinci, whether it's default items or customized ones, are saved as an RTF file in the Digital Workfile in WinTOTAL.
"Artificial Intelligence" makes sketching faster
DaVinci comes built-in intelligence that makes it easier to draw your sketches. There's logic built in that pre-determines what type of area you're sketching while you sketch. For example, DaVinci knows the difference between a "First Floor" and a "Patio" based solely on how you draw it.
We know you usually measure the entire perimeter of the building from the exterior first, then move inside to figure out where the GLA ends and the garage starts. Because of that, we made it easy to "cut out" a garage from an existing GLA area and mark it as non-livable space by simply drawing the wall between the two areas. DaVinci takes care of the rest by creating a new garage area, subtracting the square footage from the GLA and adjusting accurately. The same works for porches, stairwells, and "open to below". It couldn't be easier.

Label links tie the sketch to room data
DaVinci Mobile Pro is designed to gather data the same way you do: room by room. With DaVinci, you can gather data for each room at the same time as you sketch. Room labels in the sketch are actually links to data gathering screens for those rooms. Tapping on the label link takes you to the data screen for that room, allowing you to easily enter information while you layout the sketch and before you leave the room. And all the data is seamlessly saved in the report file. That means it shows up in the digital workfile when the file is opened in WinTOTAL.

to view or edit them.
WinTOTAL. DaVinci. It’s all the same file
DaVinci Mobile Pro files are saved in the same format as WinTOTAL. This means there's no conversion of data between DaVinci and WinTOTAL. There's no import or export. It's just natively the same file. This means you can start a report in WinTOTAL, save it, open it in DaVinci and add a sketch and field data, re-save it, and then re-open it in WinTOTAL. All of the data is preserved and goes in its proper place in the form. This saves you valuable time and eliminates double entry of data.
If your mobile computer can connect to your network, you can browse to it and manually copy the files over to your WinTOTAL File Cabinet. But we've made it even easier than that. DaVinci also comes with built-in support for removable storage devices. This means you can plug your Flash Drive, Memory Stick or similar removable storage device into your computer running DaVinci Mobile Pro and it will appear as an attached directory in the DaVinci File Manager, allowing you to easily copy files onto it. You can do the same thing in the WinTOTAL Appraisal Desktop and copy the files off of the storage device and into your desired folder. This makes it easy to move files between the two machines, without having to convert anything.
